SEC vs ACC Alumni Bash (Aug 25)

Sat, Aug 25 2-7pm We couldn’t be more excited to join our friends in the SEC and ACC on Aug 25th to “kick off” the 2018 football season.

• When: Saturday, August 25, 2018
• Where: Slate Parking Lot, 200 E Bland Street
• What: Party in the parking lot with SEVENTEEN schools (see below) across the SEC and ACC will be represented. Food and beverages (adult and other wise) will be available for purchase from Slate and Two Scoops. This is a fun afternoon of school rivalry, games and mingling. Each school turns out with all the stops.
• Benefiting Charity: As with last year, all proceeds from this year’s event, including the raffle, will benefit Hayden’s Hope.  Hayden’s Hope was started by SECN/ESPN Anchor Dari Nowkhah and Dari participates in our bash every year.  We look forward to seeing him at the event again this year and he hopes to bring colleagues to the event if possible. UNC’s raffle entry is an autographed basketball signed by the Hornets, 2 suite tickets to a pre-season Hornets game and 4 tickets to the last Knights game of the season against the Bulls. Big thanks to Megan with the Hornets for helping us with this year’s prize offering!

Games

• 50/50 Cornhole Tournament: Sportslink will be running a cornhole tournament at the event with a $10 entry fee for participating and half the entry fees going to charity and the other half going to the first and second place teams.  Teams can sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sec-v-acc-alumni-bash-charity-cornhole-tournament-tickets-49310191109
• Freeplay Cornhole Area: We’ll have some boards set up in a free play area in addition.
• Mega Pong – We know you’ve played some beer pong in your college days.  Mega Pong is beer pong on steroids.  Teams of two people will see how fast they can fill all six giant “cups” with at least one ball.  The fastest teams throughout the day will receive prizes.  And the ability to talk Mega Smack Talk!
• Giant Darts – Why do things small?  Stop by our giant dart board, play giant darts (with tennis balls) and see how many points you can score.  Score the highest points in four tosses and win cool prizes.
